A Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) is a necessary component of many FEMA mitigation grant applications. BCAs help communities evaluate the cost-effectiveness of proposed mitigation projects by estimating the future risk reduction benefits of an action while comparing those benefits to the associated costs. This workshop serves as an introductory overview of Benefit-Cost Analysis concepts, requirements, and software as they relate to evaluating the cost effectiveness of common mitigation projects.
