The Incident Complexity Guide: Planning, Preparedness and Training is recognized nationally as part of a host of emergency management guidance available from FEMA’s National Integration Center (NIC). Its concepts and instructions can enhance national preparedness and promote effective implementation of NIMS and the National Preparedness System.

The Incident Complexity Guide: Planning, Preparedness and Training is intended to help organizations and jurisdictions improve their readiness to respond to real-world events. The guide promotes a common understanding within the whole community by using a consistent method to describe incident complexity principles. This guide also establishes a framework for determining incident complexity level to inform emergency planning, preparedness and training and to improve operational readiness to respond to real events and incidents.

FEMA is hosting a series of webinars to discuss the rollout of the Incident Complexity Guide: Planning, Preparedness and Training. All webinars are open to the whole community. Each webinar will cover the same information. Please choose the session most convenient for you.
